Jeremy concentrates his practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, and Social Security Disability claims. He has tried cases in Superior and District Courts throughout North Carolina as well as State Tort Claim trials before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. He has argued Workers Compensation cases before Deputy Commissioners, the Full Commission, and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Jeremy is also a member of the Supreme Court of the United States of America and the Middle and Eastern District of North Carolina where he has represented clients with Federal Tort Claims. Jeremy prides himself on handling all types of civil litigation cases and trying denied liability claims of all sizes where insurance companies try to use our states contributory negligence laws to avoid paying claims. His experience trying automobile accident cases since becoming a lawyer in 1995 has also served him well when he is asked to serve as a mediator or an arbitrator by other lawyers."

Peter Romary serves as “Of Counsel” to the firm of Tanner & Romary, P.A. consulting on personal injury, worker’s compensation, medical malpractice and criminal cases.
Romary is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, the District of Columbia and before the US Supreme Court as well as being a Certified Arbitrator and Mediator. He holds both British and American law degrees.
In practice Romary concentrates in civil and criminal litigation, alternative dispute resolution and risk management. Since 1996 Romary committed himself to representing, pro bono, over 100 women and children victims of domestic, sexual or interpersonal violence per year. He has also consulted on the designing of personal, corporate and educational safety and risk management plans and has lectured on these topics as well as on conflict resolution and mediation around the US and overseas.
For his work, in 2004 Romary received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor (the highest civilian honor sanctioned by both the US House and the Senate that is awarded solely to US Citizens), in the same year he also received aKnighthood that was “apostolically blessed” by Pope John Paul, II. In addition to this, in 2002 the National Law Journal (the highest subscription legal newspaper in North America) named Romary one of the “Top 40 Trial Lawyers under 40 Years Old in the USA”. In the same year they also awarded Romary their Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award.
Romary has been honored by 14 States with some of those States highest civilian honors, these include The Order of the Long Leaf Pine (NC); The Order of the Silver Crescent (SC); Colonel Aide De Camp to the Governor (NM); Honorary Citizen and Honorary Colonel of Alabama; Honorary Texan; Honorary Lt. Governor of Alabama and Honorary Lt. Governor of Oklahoma. He is also a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has received the Honor Medal for Distinguished Public Service from the American Police Hall of Fame.
In 2003 Romary was one of only 52 Men from around the world honored in the Times Square Project for their work combating violence against women--- the project was sponsored by, among others, Lifetime Television, NASDAQ, Hersheys, Liz Claiborne, Reuters, The City of New York and CNBC.
